TEAM TROY LEE DESIGNS

28 years ago I started custom painting motocross
helmets to help support my racing career. I’ve been
into racing my entire life. All types of racing inspired
me. Motorcycles, cars, bikes — it didn’t matter — I just
lived for it! I still do! Never in a million years would I have
ever thought this passion would allow me to establish a
successful business and work so closely with some of the
greatest athletes and companies out there.
I truly love what I do and try to approach work with as much
energy and fun as possible. Our mission here at Troy Lee
Designs is simple: concept, design, and produce the best
Action Sports protection products and apparel available
while never compromising our brand.
To further bolster and promote our brand in 2003 we were
inspired to start our own race team and it’s all gone very
well. In the past four years, the Troy Lee Designs Honda
Red Bull race team has won the AMA Supermoto National
Championship 3 times as well as three X-Games Gold
Medals in Supercross and Supermoto.-- Troy Lee

Chris Blose #63
At the young age of 20, Chris Blose already has three years of supercross
experience on his resume. In 2008 he had three top ten finishes in the
west coast lites series and he backed that up with four top ten finishes
in the 450 class at the nationals. He will get the chance to showcase
his talent this year with the TLD team and it is an opportunity he does
not plan to squander.

Jake Moss #42
Moss was born into a dirt bike racing family with father, Greg a successful rider himself and his twin brother, Matt also racing in the Pro Lites category.

Jimmy Albertson #47
Jimmy started his rookie season on the AMA circuit with a goal of
racing hard with the best of the best and show what he is capable
of. Jimmy’s results were so impressive midway through the AMA
MX Nationals that he was rewarded with a ride on the Factory Honda
Red Bull Team to finish out the AMA MX Nationals Championship.
Jimmy’s sophomore season looks very promising with the
momentum he has coming off the 2008 season. |

Sean Borkenhagen #85
The young Huntington Beach rider spent last summer getting his feet wet in the world of pro racing by attending all of the AMA motocross nationals in his van. With one bike, and his father filling the role of mechanic, Borkenhagen earned national number 85 for the 2009 season. Sean’s talent is obvious but his genuine personality, gritty determination and dedication to succeed in this sport are what really impressed Troy Lee and his crew. |
