2015
• Tonus's debut in America didn't go as planned as an illness sidelined him for most of the year. Tonus had three Supercross starts under his belt and raced one round in the Pro Motocross Series, which he finished in the top-10.
2014
• Tonus achieved his first MX2 win in Brazil, winning the first moto and taking over the championship points lead. He led the championship for three rounds, but injured his shoulder in Germany, which led to him missing five rounds. He returned for the final two rounds. Tonus will make his American debut with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki in 2015.
2013
• Injury at the end of 2012 did not stop Team CLS Kawasaki from picking up the Swiss for 2013, but unfortunately the injury kept him from showing his true potential and he was forced to focus on 2014.
2012
• Injury before the start of the MXGP season forced Tonus to miss the first five rounds. He continued to gather speed throughout the tail end of the season and finished the season on the podium with third overall in Germany.
2011
• Consistency moved Tonus into fifth overall in the MX2 championship with two third-place moto finishes.
2010
• Tonus drastically improved with a full MXGP season under his belt and finished seventh overall in the MX2 championship with multiple top-five finishes, a moto podium in Brazil and an overall podium in Italy.
2009
• Following his back to back European Championships in EMX2, Tonus made his World Championship debut in the MX2 class and finished 16th overall with multiple top-10 moto finishes including a fifth place moto finish in France.
