2022
• Shimoda took advantage of a full season under his belt with the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team and after making some adjustments he earned his first podium of the season at the round in Glendale, Arizona. At the third stop in Anaheim, Shimoda went down during his heat race and sat out of the event. He had time to recoup during the long east-coast break, coming back in Seattle to finish fourth. Shimoda never finished outside the top-five at the close of the season. When it was time to take things outdoors, Shimoda thrived. He earned his first overall of his career at the famed RedBud Motocross round, only to back it up a few rounds later with a win at the legendary Unadilla track. He would be in contention for the title down to the last round, eventually finishing second in the 250MX class.

2021
• With little time on the bike after being signed late in the off-season, Shimoda's goals were about consistency and he was able to do more than that. He improved every single weekend, earning not only his first-ever podium, but his very first career supercross win at Salt Lake City.

2020
• In his first full year riding in the United States, Jo learned much and rounded out the season 3rd in the 250SX East region. That included seven top-10 finishes, with his best showing of fifth at both Atlanta and the penultimate round in Salt Lake City. During the Pro Motocross season, Jo hit his stride in the second half of the championship, finishing the final four races all in the top 10, with his final race being his best with a fifth overall. That fifth also included his best moto finish of third in Moto 2.

2019
• Jo got his feet wet riding the final three Pro Motocross races, collecting a top finish of 13th.
